72 Kings International Fashion Show - Alan MeeksOn Friday 23rd May,Head of Performing Arts Demelza Nelson and 60 students from Kings International College treated more than 100 people to a fashion extravaganza from around the world. However, it was so much more than just a fashion show; it was a high-energy talent fest! Students contributed by singing, dancing and reading, not to mention some budding, Oscar-nominee acting performances too. Clothes were kindly provided by House of Fraser Camberley and Primark, as well as some of the models’ own clothes, in true fashion style. The evening was kicked off with a welcome drink, sponsored by a local, ex Kings student, Anwar Jabbar, who runs the New Diwan-ee-Khas Indian restaurant.LMF were honoured to be the chosen charity of Kings. It was a real pleasure to meet and work with such a fantastic group of students who really enjoyed the experience. Their enthusiasm shone through the performance and the high-energy programme gave everyone in the audience a fabulous night of entertainment.

Many loyal, local business supporters of LMF kindly provided raffle prizes for the event: House of Fraser Camberley, Waitrose Frimley, Sakura Nails, New Diwan-ee-Khas, La-Di-Da Cupcakes, The Crab & Dragon Camberley to name but a few!

There is still some money to come in but we are confident that the night will exceed £700 plus.

Thanks must go to Kings International’s head teacher, Judith Langley, as well as her staff and the PTA for supporting LMF.

A final thanks, however, goes to the real stars on the catwalk: the 60 students who were a real credit to the school.

LMF promises to go back to do an assembly to let the students know how the money raised will benefit others. We would also like to give them an opportunity to meet the charities they are helping.
