The KLS Forest School wins us over!
News
Notes like this and days like these make working for charity such a pleasure 🙂
Hi Cheryl,
We are fast approaching the end of another successful year of Forest School sessions here at Kennel Lane and all of our students have been out into our fabulous environment and a lot of their work has been tremendous.
We have covered a wide variety of topics from  animal habitats, learning about plants, campfire cookery, playing teamwork and communication games and natural resources for artwork.
Kennel Lane were again invited to participate in a Farm Competition against other special schools where we had three ‘in school’ challenges;
1 To grow Elephant garlic and cook with it
2 To submit an A2 collage about Summer
3 To design and construct homes for nature
We were delighted to win the Garlic growing prize, ours truly were ‘Elephant’ sized with one clove weighing in at around 750 grams.
Nineteen students from went to the farm on 2nd July and had very busy and enjoyable day.
Please see photos of our work to show just how much it means the students
Once again we would like to thank you for your continual support.
Regards
Chris Ward
