The Mayor’s Dinner Dance is a Roaring Success!
News
Windlesham Golf Club was packed to the rafters on Friday 7th June as it played host to the New Mayor of Surrey Heath, Cllr. Beverley Harding’s first Charity Fundraising Event a Dinner Dance.
The sun shone as welcome drinks were served on the Golf Club’s beautiful terrace and from the start all 80 guests were in the party mood. This was followed by a three course meal and throughout the evening two raffles were held and in total a fantastic £2690 was raised.
This would not have been possible without local business sponsorship from CHD Living at Bagshot Park, Team Tops, New Diwan-ee-Khas, Camberley and Currylicious, Farnborough as well as the support of all our guests.
There was live entertainment on the night provided by local six piece band The Fat Cats. The music, a mixture of hits from the 60s and 70s went down a storm and had everyone on their feet. Everyone that came along left in high spirits and looking forward to the next do.
Mayor Beverley Harding said, ‘I am delighted with the amount of money we managed to raise and how successful the event was. Everyone said what a fabulous time they had and I’m thrilled that the money all the guests help raise will be given back to those who need it most in our community.’
We are very grateful to Beverley for selecting us as her chosen charity and we look forward to working with her over the next year.
