2004 Tsunami – We Remember
NewsThis was the video that we made to commemorate ten years since the Boxing Day Tsunami, where Lisa and thousands of others lost their lives. This year the foundation aims to focus on raising money to help projects internationally as well as those closer to home. Check out our new YouTube channel with current and archive videos here.
One of our first projects is to partner with Luke Simon, who runs a charity called School in a Bag, his brother Piers lost his life in the tsunami. School in the Bag is a project set up to deliver rucksacks filled with stationery, learning resources and eating utensils to poor orphans and disaster affected children around the world.
Each school bag is numbered enabling donors to track their funded school bags to their final destination. The cost to fund a delivered school bag is approximately £15. The Lisa May Foundation will be branding school bags to send to locations such as Nepal, Sri Lanka and Thailand and will let you know much more about this when the bags are ready to be purchased.
