Bhaji & A Boogie with Stihl GB
NewsA Bhaji & A Boogie For Charity
On Wednesday 25th March, Our newest corporate supporters, STIHL GB, came out in force to show their commitment to raising money for LMF this year. Their first external event was a Bhaji & a Boogie at The New Diwan-EE-Khas Indian restaurant on London Road, Camberley.
The event was packed to the rafters by STIHL GB and some of the Foundation’s most loyal supporters, as well as our Founder, local CllrJohn May, who also joined us for a delicious two course meal. Entertainment was provided by the fantastic local singer, Phill Aaron, who had the guests singing and dancing the night away to some old favourites such as “Sweet Caroline” and “Mustang Sally”; with the help of the new cocktail menu, he was later joined by some budding backing singers from STIHL GB!
A few of the lucky guests also took home some wonderful raffle prizes, including: a £50 John Lewis voucher, a DIY curry hamper, a bottle of champagne and a beauty pamper basket.
Thanks to the generosity of STIHL GB and all the LMF diners, the fabulous evening raised an amazing £1,134 for the Lisa May Foundation.
Cheryl D’Cruz – Fundraising Manager said:
“The Lisa May Foundation is looking forward to the next fundraising event with our new supporters at STIHL GB. Fantastic events like this are only successful when people come out in force to show their support; tonight was a great example of how much fun you can have while raising money to help others. We’d also like to thank The New Diwan-EE-Khas who have supported the Foundation for several years.”
