Bhaji and a Boogie Raises the Roof at The Cinnamon Tree
News
The Cinnamon Tree, Guildford was packed to the rafters on Tuesday 26th June as it lent its premises to our charity to host a fundraiser. The event was a massive success, in fact 54 people helped us raise an amazing £1,021.00. The fabulous Indian restaurant served up three courses of their finest cuisine to everyone who came along to support our Foundation. Our raffle on the night was a great success and the top prize was a Jubilee hamper which was kindly made and donated by Sainsbury’s Farnborough.
There was also live entertainment on the night provided by local artist Phill Aaron. Phill kindly donated his time and had the crowd dancing in the aisles or swaying in their seats to songs by the Rat Pack, Neil Diamond and many more.
The excitement didn’t stop there as a very special guest was in attendance, Howard Crosby, nephew to Hollywood legend Bing Crosby. Howard shared his fondest memories of his uncle and sang a medley of his greatest hits, finishing of course with a few lines from White Christmas and no one cared that it was only June!
Everyone that came along left in high spirits asking when the next event would be taking place.
We hope to host another curry and music night very soon, so watch this space.
