Local Farnborough man Adrian Pomfrett has kindly chosen us as his charity to support when he rides all the way from Land’s End to John O’Groats.

He is setting off on May 4th from the far end of Cornwall, Land’s End and is hoping to finish on May 20th in John O’Groats.

He will be cycling a total of about 900 miles in just 17 days, averaging about 53 miles per day. The longest stretch is 62 miles from Carlisle to Abington and the shortest is 34miles from Tain to Helmsdale.

They will go up the western side of the country passing through Bristol, Gloucester, Birmingham, Stoke, Manchester, Carlisle, Perth and Inverness.

He will try to avoid hills but that may be impossible.
