Opening Ceremony @ Sainsbury’s, Farnborough

News

On Friday 10th August Sainsbury’s in Farnborough was buzzing as we held our Opening Ceremony to celebrate being chosen as their charity of the year.

The store was thriving all afternoon and both the staff and supporters truly got into the spirit of the games. There was a live DJ keeping the crowds entertained, a balloon race, staff relay race, tombola, raffle, face painting and much much more. Four Greek goddesses gave the event some sparkle as they welcomed shoppers and talked to them about our charity’s great work.

The day raised a fantastic £824.68 and this would never have been achieved without the help of the store’s staff, who dressed up and got involved.

We would also like to thank all the volunteers and the charities we support for coming along and making the event even bigger and better and a special shout out goes to Tina Carney who was the tombola queen!

The event will be the first of many at Sainsbury’s, Farnborough so make sure you keeping checking our website and Facebook to know what is coming up.
