The Lisa May Foundation supports selected local charities in Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire, at the same time raising funds for victims of natural disaster across the world. The charity was founded after Surrey Heath Councillor John May lost his daughter Lisa to the tsunami that devastated Thailand on Boxing Day 2004. On 8th December we went along to Sainsbury’s Farnborough to spread some Christmas cheer!
Some of our supporters kindly gave up their time to join us for some carol singing lead by the wonderful Tina Carney.
On the day we also ran a competition to guess the weight of our Christmas cake that Bob the baker from Sainsbury’s kindly made for us.
The total raised on the day was a fab £154.44.
