Sainsburys Watchmoor Park Announce Lisa May Foundation as their charity of the year.

Sainsbury’s staff worked with us to plan a perfect launch party fun day. School may be out for summer but Sainsbury’s are studying hard to gain A stars in fundraising! Many of the staff put on school uniform and others took on the purple sashes of the charity to show support and create awareness. The bag packers were busy all day and thanks must go to The 8th Camberley Scouts, The Camberley Sea Cadets and students from Salesian College who all offered help. There was plenty to do with stalls ranging from colouring competitons, glitter tattoo’s and hand & head massages. Thanks to customers and staff all the helpers on the stalls were exhausted at the end of the day! The Tombola stall was well stocked thanks to the many very generous donations from the customers and staff of Sainsburys. Raffle prizes came in thanks again to staff and local business contributions. Outside Radio Frimley did a grand job of letting everyone know what was going on and which charities the money raised would benefit. The Radio team even took over the internal PA system to ensure customers knew what was taking place and when. Thanks to the many activities and one very brave staff member who decided to shave off her hair for us, we certainly got the attention of everyone who came through the doors! The total raised on launch day was in excess of £2,000. What a fantastic result from a generous community – thank you. More pictures can be found in the gallery and on our face book page too. Everyone pulled together to help make a great day!
