After our own recent visit to see SYC at work we decided that this great organisation needed more attention and who better to ask along than the Mayor of Surrey Heath.

When Cllr Harding arrived she was met by LMF and SYC who took her on a guided tour. The large group of 80 plus children aged 8-12 had been invited to enjoy a whole range of activities that most children can enjoy on a regular basis.

Cllr Paul Deach from the Surrey Residents Network also joined us and recorded a podcast about how SYC works. Lisa Roberts, Workshop Coordinator and Nicky Marshall, Education Advisor spoke with Paul and the Mayor to give them a better insight on how they help these amazing children to cope.

LMF are not only trying to raise money for the charities we support, we also want to highlight the work that lots of small organisations do on our doorsteps, everyday. Any extra funds we raise, whilst highlighting the causes we support, are welcomed by LMF and all those we support.
