Parity Farnborough Visit
News

Dear Supporters,
Thanks to you we have just made our first significant donation as an umbrella charity.
On Monday 5th March, we went along to Parity’s premises in Farnborough to visit to the staff and students at the day centre. We decided it would be a great time to make a donation and presented them with a cheque for £3000.
Parity Director Alison Cooper said: ” It is fantastic to see a relatively new umbrella charity making such a generous donation. We are pleased they have chosen to support us and enjoy working with the small but enthusiastic team.”
Cllr May joined myself and Fanni on a tour of the centre where we got to chat to some of the students, who always enjoy meeting new people.
The team at Farnborough and Camberley work one-to-one with the students with profound and multiple disabilities to give them a good quality of life. The money we have donated will be used for both sites to buy equipment and may even help them increase the number of spaces available to give more people access to their services.
Parity in particular offer such a great service that they have a waiting list of students who need and would love the opportunity to receive the care and support these two vital centres provide. By taking care of teens to adults they offer a unique service that can be tailored for each individual.
The foundation has chosen to support local causes to help provide that extra bit of financial help in these difficult economic times. We are seeing more and more funding cuts effecting small but vital community projects and want to do what we can to help.
Staff at each of our chosen charities work incredibly hard to provide for those in their care, despite the ever increasing financial squeezes.
Thanks to our loyal and new Lisa May supporters this donation has been made possible and together we can make a bigger and better difference.
We appreciate the support of your donations and the care that our charities provide. This is why we want to help both locally and globally.
Looking forward to seeing more and more of you as we work within the community.
Grateful thanks
Cheryl x
