Staff and Shoppers at Sainsbury’s Farnborough Raise A Scary Amount of Money at Spooktacular Saturday!

News

On Saturday 27th October we held a freaky fundraiser at Sainsbury’s Farnborough aptly named Spooktacular Saturday.

Shoppers were greeted by Sainsbury’s staff dressed as ghosts and ghoulies, and Miranda Gregory from clothing made a superb effort as a walking, talking coffin!  There were lots of activities for visitors to join in; a Terrifying Tombola, Guess What’s In The Box, Ghost Hunt around the store and creepy cupcakes and slimy sweets were on sale. Shuffles Dance Studio put on a thrilling performance and brightened up everyone’s lunch hour. Another howler of a hit was face painting and lots of little monsters left as pumpkins and witches.

The day was a great success and raised a terrific £412.30

It was so nice to see so many people coming together to help raise awareness for the Foundation, the effort put in by the staff to dress for the event made a big difference to the overall effect and the fantastic amount raised.

The store chose us as their chosen charity in July 2012 and this is the fourth fundraising event and there are more to come!

We will be in store again over Christmas so if you want to come down and help please do get in touch!
