STIHL GB – Golf Day

News

SnipImageThe team at STIHL GB have been busy fundraising for LMF since January this year and June saw them put on their biggest event to date.

Every year their dealers are invited to a charity golf day and this year the superb venue chosen was The Belfry. Founder John May was kindly invited by MD Robin Lennie to join them for dinner and gave an after dinner speech about the charity and it’s roots.

A charity auction followed and the guests generously bid on some fabulous items, which included a Helicopter flight,2 tickets to any Tottenhman Hotspur Premiership game and 3 Shepherds walking sticks!  The bidding began and the items were snapped up willingly and generously.

There were a few glasses raised in celebration of a great day at the Belfry and the final total raised for the Foundation was an amazing £4,000, which included one supplier who made a single donation of £250!  Our grateful thanks goes to STIHL GB  their dealers and suppliers.

John May Said, “The support from STIHL GB has been superb tonight. The sportsmanship has continued, as the golfers have been more than generous. We look forward to other events with the staff back in Camberley and by the end of the year I am sure there will be many more great memories made.”
